Seller guide

Set up your store by chatting with ChatGPT or Claude

What is this?

Connect your own ChatGPT or Claude account to Folivo, describe what you sell, and review the drafts it creates.

Why it matters

Describing your business in your own words is faster than filling every form. The assistant creates drafts only you can see, so you stay in control of what goes public.

Step-by-step

  1. Open AI assistants

Go to Settings → AI assistants. Under Folivo connector link, tap Copy link.

  2. Add the connector in Claude

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste the link and tap Connect. Free Claude plans can add one custom connector.

  3. Or in ChatGPT

ChatGPT needs a paid plan for now: turn on Developer mode in its app settings, add a new app or connector with the same link, and connect. Menu names change from time to time.

  4. Approve the connection

Folivo opens. Sign in as the store owner, choose the store, check what the assistant may do, and tap Allow. New to Folivo? Tap Create an account, enter your Philippine mobile number and the code we text you, then tap Create account and continue. Back in the chat, the assistant asks what you sell and what to call your store, and creates it with you. Team members cannot connect an assistant.

  5. Describe your business

Say "Help me set up my store". The assistant checks what is still missing and asks a question or two at a time: your category, hours, contact, address, first listing, pickup or delivery (product stores) and how customers pay. It never guesses. You pin your exact location on a Folivo page it gives you. If you stop, it picks up where you left off next time.

  6. Add photos

Paste a photo link, a public Canva view link, or a Google Drive or Dropbox share link into the chat. In ChatGPT you can also attach a photo or ask it to create one. From your phone, ask for a photo link, open it, tap Choose photos and upload; no sign-in is needed and the link works for 30 minutes for that one listing. Folivo straightens the photo and removes location data. A listing needs at least one photo to go live. The same works for portfolio project photos (ask it to make one the cover or remove one) and for your store's cover photo and logo.

  7. Set how customers pay

Ask the assistant to add GCash, Maya, a bank account, a QRPh code, cash, a payment link, or PayPal, Wise and other methods for clients abroad. It cannot save payment details itself: it gives you a Folivo link where you see the exact number, account or QR code and tap Approve and save (or Reject), signed in to Folivo. You also get a notification and an SMS once it is saved, and a store needs a non-cash method to go live.

  8. Review the drafts

Listings and portfolio projects are created as drafts that visitors cannot see. Open them in Listings and Portfolio and check the details.

  9. Publish, hide or remove

Ask the assistant to publish a listing, a portfolio project or the whole store, one at a time. You can also ask it to hide something, archive it, or take the store offline. Permanent deletes show you what will go and wait for your yes.

  10. Run orders and customers

Ask what needs your attention, move orders and bookings along, send quotes, decline or cancel, message a customer on a service request, reply to reviews, and keep private notes and tags on customers. Anything the customer or the public will see, including every status change, is shown to you first and sent only after you say yes. Payments are confirmed by you in Folivo, never by the assistant. Changes the assistant makes are marked via AI assistant in the order history. If you connected before October 5, 2026, disconnect and connect again to allow these.

  11. Check or stop access

On AI assistants, Recent activity shows what the assistant did. Under Connected assistants, tap Disconnect to stop it at once.
