Add VAT or sales tax to your orders
What is this?
Add one tax line, like VAT 12% or Sales tax 8.25%, to checkout, order pages and billing statements.
Why it matters
If you must charge tax, a clear tax line shows customers what they pay and keeps your records right.
Step-by-step
Open Tax on your sales
Open Store profile → Payment tab → Tax on your sales.
Name the tax
Under Name, type what customers should see, for example VAT or Sales tax.
Enter the rate
Under Rate (%), type the rate, for example 12 or 8.25.
Say how your prices work
Under Your listing prices, choose Tax is added on top or Already include tax. An example below shows the result.
Turn it on
Turn on Add a tax line. If it is already on, tap Save after a change.
